Hey everyone, welcome to week 8! This week, we’ve got a full slate with no teams on bye, so we can really dive into some great matchups. There are definitely some exciting games to watch, and we’ll need to dig a little deeper in others to uncover those hidden gems for a shot at the Milly. Best of luck to everyone!

Hurts is flying under the radar with almost no ownership this week. While it might not seem necessary to splurge on a quarterback, I’m opting to go for Hurts. He’s been putting up more than 20 points per game this season, and I think the Bengals will focus on shutting down Barkley, which will push the Eagles to rely on their passing game. You can pair Hurts with his go-to guy, A.J. Brown, or just roll with him solo, banking on that tush push play.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are pretty much a pass funnel team, which means you really need to go after them through the air. They actually hold their own against the run, so you can bet Love will be looking to connect with his receivers. Plus, the Jaguars rarely blitz, and when they do, it doesn’t go well for them. This should give Love plenty of time to spot those big plays down the field. My favorite stack with Love is Reed, but we did have a Milly winner stack him alone, which goes against the “rules of stacking your non-rushing QB,” but things are ever-changing in DFS.

The Seahawks have been running the ball a bit more over the past couple of weeks, but they’re still throwing it 60% of the time, so we can expect Geno to get his share of passes. We’re not certain if Metcalf will be playing in this game, but we still have JSN and Lockett, plus my top pick in the passing game, Kenneth Walker III. I’m also planning to take a chance on Jake Bobo at $3,300. He’s been getting some action and has a 14% first-read target rate when Metcalf is on the field.

The Panthers really struggle both on the ground and in the air, so this matchup feels more like a practice run for Nix to showcase his skills. I expect Sean Payton to have Bo start off by airing it out, and once they build a solid lead, they’ll shift focus to the run game. Nix definitely needs to work on his release time, and this game is perfect for that. You might want to consider stacking with Sutton here; he had a rough outing last week, but I doubt he’ll go scoreless again. Also, keep an eye on Franklin, as he’s been involved in 68% of the routes over the past couple of weeks.

Vegas lines say it all, and Henry is coming in way too low-owned for what his recent performances. Even if he can’t get the run game going right away, they will wear down the Cleveland defense and King Henry will get his touches. This guy is in beast mode and can’t be stopped!

The Bills have a decent run defense, but I’m really into Walker as a pass catcher this week. Geno’s been pretty efficient as a QB this season, but the Bills’ pass rush is going to put him to the test, making him get rid of the ball fast. Walker has racked up 6 rushing touchdowns in just 5 starts and is averaging more than 35 receiving yards per game. I think Walker will play a big role again this week and I will take his ownership vs the chalky Joe Mixon play at a similar price.

Hall is the chalky running back, and it makes sense. He hasn’t been great for fantasy this season, but ever since Robert Salah left, he’s started to show some signs of life. The Patriots just got crushed by the Jacksonville run game, which is pretty embarrassing. They’re sitting at 31st in fantasy points allowed to running backs. I’m definitely planning to have a good amount of Hall in my lineup this week.

Williams looks like a steal against the Carolina defense. He’s not just a key player in the rushing game—especially when they’re ahead—but he also plays a big role in the passing game. There’s a lot of potential for him this week at a great price.

Chase is a top-notch receiver and a solid pick any week, but I have a feeling this game is going to be a high-scoring affair, and I’m really into both Chase and Higgins this week. Even though Chase gets double-teamed more than anyone else in the league, he still manages to break free and make those big plays when it counts. Burrow struggled against the Browns’ defense last week, but I expect him to bounce back this week with plenty of points on the board.

Since Jameson Williams is suspended, ARSB is set to shine in the passing game. The Titans have the lowest double-team rate in the league, making them pretty easy to exploit on first reads. ARSB is likely to have another standout performance this week.

There are plenty of reasons to include Hill in your lineups this week. Tua is back in action, Hill is a steal at his price, Arizona’s pass defense is a mess, and they really struggle in the splash zone—perfect for Tyreek to shine. Oh, and did I mention he’s a bargain?

I mentioned in my Chase lineup that I see a lot of potential for this game to be a high-scoring one. That being said, Higgins will likely be matched up against Darius Slay Jr., who isn’t quite the player he used to be and I like Higgins to win that race. Since coming back in week 3, Higgins has been performing really well.

Bowers plays like a top-tier wide receiver and is a key player for the Raiders. Plus, the Chiefs are dead last in fantasy points given up to tight ends, so this is a solid pick.

Watson is done for the season, and Cooper got traded to the Bills. So now, it’s all about Winston and Njoku, who looks like the best option for catching passes until we see more of what Winston can bring to the table. In week 7, Njoku was the standout, grabbing a 28% target share and a 27% target per route run rate.

The Packers have really struggled against the run, but I believe the Jags will need to rely on their passing game if they want to stay competitive. Brian Thomas Jr is definitely the top wide receiver for Jacksonville, while Engram is right behind him in targets and effectiveness. It feels like Kirk and Gabe Davis have kind of faded into the background lately.

With Mike Evans and Chris Godwin sidelined due to injuries, Otton is shaping up to be Baker’s go-to guy. Grab Cade now while he’s still a bargain!

The Panthers are set to start Bryce Young this week since Dalton was involved in a car accident. Luckily, he and his family are fine with no serious injuries, but Andy is dealing with a thumb problem. There are a few key points to note here. First, Broncos defensive tackles Zach Allen and John Franklin-Myers are much quicker and more agile compared to the bigger, slower interior guards for the Panthers, Damien Lewis and Robert Hunt. Second, defensive end Jonathon Cooper on the outside could easily maneuver around Panthers left tackle Ikem Ekwonu and pressure Bryce, especially if he’s hesitant in the pocket and holding onto the ball for too long.

The Chiefs boast Chris Jones, the top interior rusher in the league. Meanwhile, the Raiders are relying on Jordan Meredith as their backup right guard, and their center, Andre James, isn’t exactly stellar. On top of that, the Chiefs have Tershawn Wharton, another solid inside threat, and when you pair him with Jones, it can create serious issues for opposing offenses.

The Saints’ offensive line has been decent so far this season, but they’re dealing with a backup at center and a third-stringer at left guard. Plus, their tackles aren’t the best when it comes to pass protection. On the flip side, the Chargers have Khalil Mack, who can be a real threat from either side of the line, and they’re getting Joey Bosa back this week after he missed some time due to injury in week 3.

The Bears are going up against the Commanders with Marcus Mariota at the helm instead of Jayden Daniels, and that’s a big change. Kliff Kingsbury has been focusing on the run game this season, but I think the Bears will shut that down and make them throw the ball. Mariota is a backup for a reason, and the Bears have a solid defense.
